Dr. Tahmina Aslanova holds a PhD in History and brings over twenty years of teaching experience in both secondary and higher education. She is an Associate Professor at Baku State University and an IB History Teacher and Examiner at Lyceum No. 6. Her deep expertise covers the socio-political history of Azerbaijan and the nationality policies of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. She is a member of the editorial teams of two international academic journals and serves as a scientific advisor to numerous bachelor and master students, many of whom have successfully defended their theses and continued their academic journeys abroad. At Lyceum No. 6, Dr. Aslanova plays a major role in increasing students interest in History through her engaging lessons, academic rigor, and passion for critical inquiry. Under her guidance, IB History students have consistently achieved excellent results.
